Obituary of Jimmy W Walter, Sr.

Mr. Jimmy Walter, Sr., 83, of Magnolia, Arkansas died Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center.  He was born June 2, 1937 to J.H. and Vera Lee Taylor Walter in Magnolia.  He married Essie "Willie B" Alexander and was a loving and devoted  husband until her passing in 2015.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Benita Hatton.

Jimmy Walter, Sr. was a strong and independent man  who loved the Lord Jesus and his family with all of his heart and all of his strength for as long as he lived.  He will be greatly missed by his Southview Church of Christ family and all who loved him. None more than his sons:  James Earl Walter of Paris, California, Jimmy Walter, Jr. and Christopher Walter, both of Magnolia; his daughters: Peggy Crowder and Tammy Walter, both of Magnollia, and Joyce Davis, of Werstminster, California; seventeen grandchildren, a great host of great-grandchildren and one sister, Lillie Mae Maxey, of Compton, California.  

Due to the pandemic that continues to grip our community, there will be no public viewing or visitation.  Jimmy Walter, Sr. will be laid to rest following a private ceremony under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.  Online guestbook available at www.hendersonsmortuary.com.
