My deepest condolences to my Lindsey family Your Mother
Aunt Hester was such a beautiful Lady and has always been kind hearted and loving to me as far back as I could remember as a little girl and up until my years now, she was so humble and I could talk to her and she would always be the same way with a gentle spirit, She was a woman that everyone loved and respected, there were often times I'd wished to be like her with the loving kind ways she showed, I am very thankful that I was able to speak with her over the phone and hear her voice just a few months ago. Dear Mama,
It's really hard to say goodbye. Thankful for all the lessons in life you taught me. Because of you, I am who I am your eldest daughter. Cathy. I am so happy we spoke nearly every day and always ended our conversation with I love you. I have your VM where I missed a call from you referring to me as your big baby and telling me how much you love me. I know I was a spoil brat (lol) still am who never wanted to share my mom with anyone. As your eldest daughter and daddy number one girl I didn't realized how spoiled I was until the day I found out on Facebook you were gone and your grandaughter got on the phone acting a fool. I know you did what you had to do because of the love you had for your four daughters, Cathy, Betty, Barbara and Shanell and two sons L.B. and Ronnie. Its really sad after rearing your own children many grandmothers have had to be burden with raising a whole other generation of children without all the needed resources. Many times; because of substance abuse, physical and emotional abuse these children have many deficits, its contrary to most of you guys health. I could see how it was wearing on you, you never complained. Also, you never allowed me to speak on this but you often shared this hardship; financial and otherwise with me.
I remember you as a youthful beautiful Mother, whom all my friends and family loved and referred affectionately to you as Aunt Hester. Everybody wanted to stay at your house when we all supposed to be going out to have fun, cause they say, Mrs. Lindsey, Aunt Hester's house is fun, she cooks all the favorite foods,plays the good music and loves playing cards.Its so much and have all the fine dudes at her house. I know we all were young fast teens. I am going to continue to represent you by educating my mind and taking care of my responsibility. Eventhough you never got the chance to see me walk across the stage with two Masters, and see me in action as a Behavior Specialist, Educator, School Counselor, Marital and Family Therapist, in school working on my doctorate at the University of Phoenix.. its okay that you didn't see both my daughters graduate with Master's Degrees, Iyaunna and Jamielah. I know in your heart you were proud of all of us. It's kind of sad this did not really allow for time to get to know my three sons or my nineteen grandchildren all of who are doing very well and are successful. Your eldest grandson Monte really loved you and would call you often. He enjoyed visiting with you when you Lived in Long Beach, CA, and even came to see you in Emerson Arkansas because of how much he loved you. Javonte and Daron my youngest sons both loved you very much cause they knew how much I love you and would always help me send money when you ask. All will miss you, their beautiful grandmother.
I am honored to be your #1 daughter and I will always love you and remember you. I can hear your sweet voice and it's beautiful. I m so happy that you will be reunited with Daddy he loved you so much and your Grandsons DeAndrae and Traveon, may you all rest in heaven. You are now my Guardian Angel and I'm happy that you are getting the rest you so rightly deserve.
I will do my best to represent you in a positive way. I am glad my children never complained when I ask them to send money to my mother or brother, because all of them really loved you. Mother, I am not attending your services because I don't want a memory of my mother lying in a tomb when I know you are already gone to heaven. I want to remember you as always a Vibrant beautiful soft-spoken sophisticated Lady until you made her mad lol. Love you Mother Dear.
Iyaunna wanted to let you know as your granddaughter, Mother you were a great role model as the Matriarch of our family. Also you will be greatly missed and we all love you. Gone but not forgotten. Rip Mama Hester Lindsey, Love Always Catherine Jean Towery Sales (aka Lindsey).
