Obituary of Roy Washington

Roy Washington was born to James and Bernice Wyrick Washington on July 15, 1969, in Taylor, Arkansas. He crossed from this life into glory on September 26,  2020.  He was fifty-one years old.  Roy graduated from Garland City High school. He chose Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized at an early age.  Roy was a member of the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ at Texarkana, Texas.

Roy had a joyful spirit and truly enjoyed life and being active.  He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand, even if he had other plans.  He would often be seen riding his bike, walking or “dancing the night away”.  He was a loving brother and devoted friend who will certainly be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jimmy Washington.

 He leaves to cherish his memories: four brothers:  Earnest Lewis of Lima, Ohio, James Washington and Joe Day Washington, both of Texarkana, Texas, Henry Washington of Monroe, Louisiana; and one sister: Easter (Michael) White of Garland, Texas.
