Obituary of Betty B. Sargent
Betty B. Sargent passed away gracefully on March 24, 2018, at 2:11 a.m. at Baylor Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. She was just shy of her 88th birthday.
Betty was born March 30, 1930 in Columbia County, Arkansas to the late Jack and the late Nelliw Hawthorn Harden.
Betty B. worked for Southern Arkansas University for over 30 years; and she was a faithful member at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church for as long as she was able. She was also a member of The Lucky Six Ladies Club.
She leaves to cherish precious memories of her, her three daughters: Mary Carolyn Colvin (John Henry Colvin), Virginia LaJune Harris (Lonnie Harris, Jr.), and Harriett Ann Smith (Garnett Smith); her grandchildren, Henrietta Wheeler, Gregory Lynn Colvin, Chivas Renee Harris, Lonnie Harris, III, Ashley Mwangi, and Alexandria Martin; five great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Ozell Harden of Bradley, Arkansas, Elzi Harden and Bobby Joe Harden, both of Magnolia, Arkansas; one sister, Lula Lewis of richmond, California, and a host of niewces, nephews, and cousins.
