Obituary of Eunice Murphy

Eunice Marie Murphy, age 67, of Magnolia died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at home in McNeil. Mrs. Murphy was born November 5, 1949 in Wrens, GA. Eunice is the daughter of the late Willie James "Son" Nelson and the late Eunice Mae Stone Nelson. She married Luther Murphy.

She was a retired substitute teacher and Certified Nursing Assistant. Eunice was preceded in death by three brothers: King David England, James Smith, and John David Ingram.

She is survived by her husband: Luther Murphy, three sons: Luther R. (Gayla) Murphy, Jr. of Lake Jackson, TX, Mark (Katherine) Hall, Sr. of Hartshorne, OK, Pernell Roberts of GA; one daughter: Felicia K. (Ricky) Walker of Waldo, AR, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and twelve siblings: Lillie Johnson, Annie King, and Roosevelt Stone of the Bronx, New York, Frank Wiggins, Lula Mae Nelson Woods, Martha Olivant, Antee Robinson, Betty Mae Nelson Upton, Doug Nelson, and Commet Jordan, all of Wrens, GA, Cathy Lennon of Texarkana, TX, and Mary Hatchett of Florida.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 25, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hwy 79 N, McNeil, AR, with Franklin Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Emerson, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
