Obituary of J.L. Henderson

J. L. Henderson, age 70, of Waldo, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at home. Mr. Henderson was born December 25, 1944 in Emerson, AR. He is the son of the late Willie T and the late Earline (Broomfield) Love. He married Linda Manning. J.L. united with Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. church at an early age. He was formerly employed by P & A Management for many years and had over forty years service in well service as an Oil Rig Operator. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Henderson. He is survived by his wife: Linda (Manning) Henderson ; three sons: Jeffery (Carol) Henderson of El Dorado, AR, Jacarlos Woods, Carlos (LaShundra) Woods; and three daughters: Jacqueline (David) McDowell, Cassandra Woods, Kenya Woods, all of Little Rock, AR; two sisters: Argie (Icy B) Henderson-Thomas and Alma Jean Paschal of Magnolia, AR; eleven grandchildren , four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends, including the staff at P & A Management. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Monday, April 27 at A.C. Henderson Memorial Chapel, 614 Calhoun Rd., Magnolia, AR with Rev. Reginald James, pastor of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Magnolia, officiating. Burial will follow in West Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
