Obituary of Arvella Jones

Arvella Jones was born January 24, 1927 in McNeil, Arkansas to the late Henry and Pearl Jones. She began her walk in heaven on March 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. She is a lifelong member of St. Matthew Baptist Church of McNeil, Arkansas. Ms. Jones is preceded in death by many, including her parents, three sisters: Mae Bell Lockhart, Zora Sue Jones, Bertha Beal, five brothers: Rufus, Willie, Clarence, Lawrence and James Jones; one son, Rickey D. Owens, one daughter, Ruthie Buffington-Jones and one grandson, Rickey D. Rayford. Her memory will forever dwell in the hearts of her daughters, Shirley Darrette, Las Vegas, NV, Wanda Williams, Bernetta ( Robert) Taylor, and Roberta Rayford all of Kansas City, MO; her sons: Ray (Sally ) Buffington of McNeil, Arkansas, Jerry J. Owens also of Kansas City, MO, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Funeral for Mrs. Jones will be 11:00 am on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at St. Matthew Baptist Church, McNeil, AR.
