Obituary of Donald Ray Chappel

Donald Ray Chappel, age 55, formerly of Magnolia, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at home in Houston, TX. Mr. Chappel was born April 7, 1958 and is the son of the late K. D. and Annie Laura (Green) Chappel. He married Annie Harigow. Mr. Chappel, a self-employed carpenter, is survived by his wife: Annie (Harigow) Chappel ; one daughter, Sonya Chappel (Carius) Taylor, three sons, Donald Ray, Jr., Brannon K., and Dvonte Chappel, and five grandchildren, all of Houston, TX, his mother Annie Laura (Green) Chappel, of Magnolia, seven sisters, Emmer Merrit and Obie Chappel of Los Angeles, CA, Betty (Greg) Wright, Annette Chappel, Annie Marie (Craig) Phillips, Laura Chappel, and Chakita Chappel, all of Magnolia, AR, five brothers, Billy (Cynthia) Chappel, Harold (Diane) Chappel, John David Chappel, Tommy (Maria) Chappel, all of Magnolia, and Charles Chappel of Dallas, TX.; two aunts, Mary Ray of Houston, TX and Obie (Johnnie) Williams of Magnolia, one uncle, Leroy Chappel of Milwaukee, WI, god-sister, Sharon Lewis, of Magnolia, and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Saturday, April 12, at 2:30 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1859 Col 27 S, Magnolia, AR with Rev. A.D. Norton officiating. Burial will follow in Kings Hill Cemetery, Magnolia under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
