Obituary of Flodie M. McBride

Mrs. Flodie M. McBride, age 80, of 1371 Columbia, McNeil died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Magnolia Regional Health Center of Magnolia, AR. Mrs. McBride was born November 25, 1933 in Rosston, AR. She is the daughter of the late Green and the late Minnie (Ford) Christopher. She married Jimmy Lee McBride, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Donald Ray and William Earl McBride; two sisters, Verna Waddell and Icerene Gee; and two brothers, Willie Roy and Grady Christopher. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Lee McBride, Sr., one son: Jimmy McBride, Jr. of Magnolia, four daughters: Ruby Curry of McNeil, AR, Ida Strickland of Camden, AR, Beatrice Curry and Carrie Pace both of Pine Bluff, AR, one sister: Earline Hardiman and one brother: Jack Christopher, both of Magnolia, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday, March 14 from Noon-4:00 pm at Henderson's Mortuary, Inc., 614 Calhoun Rd., Magnolia, AR. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 15 at St. Matthew Baptist Church, McNeil, AR where Rev. James C. Scott is pastor. Rev. Frank Witt will be officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery, McNeil, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
