Obituary of Dossie Lee Lewis
Mrs. Dossie Lee Aubrey Lewis passed from labor to reward on December 1, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Emerson, Arkansas, on December 14, 1936, to the late Tom and the late Velma Lindsey Aubrey, she passed just shy of her 87th birthday. She was united in holy matrimony to Joe Lewis and God blessed their union with four children.
She confessed her her faith in Christ Jesus at an early age and became a member of Antioch Baptist Church. There she faithfully served as a a mission sister, choir member, and usher.
Dossie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two sons: Randy D. Lewis and Eddie Jr. Lewis, three sisters and three brothers.
She leaves cherished memories with her two daughters: Ivory Edwards of Waldo, AR, Velma Grissom (Johnny) of Magnolia, AR; six grandchildren: Cassandra Edwards of Hope, AR, Keisha Lewis, Shanel Davis (Reggie), DeWavon Lewis (LeShan), John Grissom, and Lawrence Grissom (Jakayah), all of Magnolia, AR, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, one sister: Laycen Cooper of Denver, CO, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 10 Columbia Rd 204, Magnolia.
