Additional Obit Info

Brother Dempsey Orell Clayton was born March 18, 1928 to the late Will and the late Leonia Bennett Clayton. Brother Dempsey O. Clayton accepted Christ as his personal Savior and made him Lord of his Life. He joined the Oakland Bible Church and was a devoted and faithful member under the leadership of Rev. Charles Mixson, and later under the leadership of Rev. Wayne Anderson. Dempsey faithfully served as a deacon for many years. He attended Alameda College where he learned uphostery and pattern drafting. He also worked in the housekeeping department at Highland Hospital in Oakland, and retired thereafter. Dempsey was preceded in death by four sisters: Bertha Clayton, Beozia Clayton, Earties Glover and Norvell Ferguson and one sister-in-law Seretha Clayton. Dempsey had a giving spirit and a loving heart. He leaves to cherish his precious memory one brother Alvin Lewis Clayton of Hot Springs, AR and a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a very special cousin, Ernestine Clayton Doss.
